Portrays styles and moods from around the world:
1. The Little British Choo-choo;
Snare drum, high tom tom, bass drum, 2 timpani (no tuning changes), bells
Based on triplet rhythms that will eventually be used for flam accent #1 and flam accent #2
The triplet feel allows the music to tell the journey of a happy little trail

2 snare drums, 3 toms from drum set, suspended cymbal, hi-hat, bass drum, cowbell, bells
Utilizes accents and solos to create a basic eighth note groove

4. USA Rock;
2 snare drums, 3 toms from drum set, suspended cymbal, hi-hat, bass drum, cowbell, bells

5. Balinese Gamelan;
Snare drum, suspended cymbal, triangle, tambourine, bass drum, bells, woodblock
The four note scale gives the piece an exotic Balinese quality
Bells – F, A, Bb, C (also gliss)
Drums – flam, rim, muffling with towel, suspended cymbal gliss, bell of cymbal, stick clicks
6. A Russian Sleighride:
Snare drum, crash cymbals, triangle, sleigh bells, tambourine, bells
An exciting sleighride through the Russian snow.
